Plagiarism Check

Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts submitted to Journal in Innovative Science and Education (JIISE) are subject to a thorough plagiarism screening process prior to peer review. The journal uses reliable and widely accepted plagiarism detection tools (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) to ensure the originality of submitted content.

The plagiarism check includes a comparison of the manuscript against a comprehensive database of academic publications, web content, and previously submitted papers. The screening focuses on identifying:

  • Direct copying or verbatim text without quotation or proper citation,

  • Paraphrasing without acknowledgment,

  • Improper reuse of the author’s own previously published work (self-plagiarism).

Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 30%—excluding quotations, references, and commonly used phrases—will be flagged for editorial review. Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript or provide clarification. In cases of serious plagiarism, the manuscript will be rejected outright, and further actions may be taken in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy.

This process is conducted to uphold the integrity of the scholarly record and to promote ethical research and writing practices.
