Publication Ethics
Journal in Innovative Science and Education (JIISE) adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and is committed to ensuring the integrity and quality of published articles. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to uphold ethical standards as outlined below:
- Duties of Authors
- Authors must ensure that their work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration in another journal.
- All sources of data, ideas, and references must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.
- Authors must accurately report their research methods and findings without falsification or manipulation.
- Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research. All contributing authors must be appropriately acknowledged.
- Authors are responsible for disclosing any potential conflicts of interest and for complying with ethical standards in human or animal research (including obtaining necessary institutional approvals).
- Duties of Editors
- Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased decisions based solely on the academic merit and relevance of the manuscript.
- Editors must ensure a confidential, double-blind review process and maintain the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
- Editors must take appropriate action when ethical concerns or misconduct are identified, including the possibility of retraction or correction.
- Editors should not have conflicts of interest with respect to the articles they consider.
- Duties of Reviewers
- Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and in a timely manner.
- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts and not use information obtained through peer review for personal advantage.
- Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review if such conflicts exist.
- Duties of the Publisher
- The publisher must support the editorial board in handling ethical issues and ensuring the integrity of the academic record.
- The publisher shall ensure that the publishing system supports transparency, peer-review quality, and editorial independence.
Journal in Innovative Sains and Education ((JIISE) follows the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and encourages all stakeholders to consult COPE's resources when dealing with ethical issues.
